May 2007 Intermediate results from on-going Cigré enquiry on reliability of high voltage equipment presented at a Colloquium in Rio de Janeiro .
October 2006
  • The WG is preparing for analysis of data, and reporting of results for the first two years of the study, i.e. 2004-2005.
  • Deadline for population and failure data to be included in this “mid term“ reporting is November 1 2006
Reporting from this “mid term” analysis of data is planned for the middle of 2007

August 2006

At present the population covered (for 2004) is around

  • 42.000 circuit breakers
  • 220.000 disconnectors and earthing switches
  • 230.000 instrument transformers
  • 15.000 GIS circuit breaker bays
This makes the ongoing survey the largest ever. However, participation is uneven and data from more countries are solicited.
